Testosterone is simply a sex hormone that produced largely naturally in a man’s testicles. It is also important to note that a small amount of testosterone is also produced in a woman’s ovaries and adrenal system.

WHAT IS TESTOSTERONE ENANTHATE?

Testosterone Enanthate is also commonly known as Testosterone Heptanoate and it is an androgenic and anabolic steroid (AAS) which is often used to treat health conditions such as low testosterone levels in boys and males. The anabolic aspect of the steroid work by building muscles while the androgenic part works by enhancing the male sex characteristics. This anabolic steroid was first introduced to the world sometime in the 1950s and it is now marketed under many brand names like Cernos, Androfil, Testro, Testoviron, Testanova, Testrin, Testostroval, Everone, Depandro, Delatestryl, Sustrone, Andropository, Testanon, and Durathate.

Testosterone Enanthate is often considered An Androgenic and Anabolic Steroid (AAS) because it is both a testosterone pro-drug and a synthetic derivative of testosterone which means that it can stimulate the body to produce testosterone on its own. This steroid is often considered to have greater levels of androgenic effects and moderate levels of anabolic effects.

Testosterone Enanthate is often used for treating certain conditions in boys and men that occur as a result of lack of testosterone in their bodies such as impotence, delayed puberty or other forms of hormonal imbalances. Testosterone Enanthate is also commonly used to treat certain health conditions in women such as breast cancer that has managed to spread to other parts of the body.

Testosterone Enanthate is often used for testosterone replacement therapy in males with hypogonadism (the reduced production of testosterone in the testes). Hypogonadism is often caused by infections, cancer, and testicular injuries. It can also be caused by chemotherapy and radiation sometimes.

WHAT DOES TESTOSTERONE DO?

  1. IT ENHANCES MUSCLES

Testosterone is capable of increasing protein synthesis in the body and this, in turn, results in an increase in muscle mass and strength. The ability of testosterone to act directly to stimulate the growth of muscles is the main reason why it is considered to be an anabolic steroid even if the steroid is produced by the body. Studies have also shown that testosterone is also responsible for activating and increasing the number of muscle fiber precursor cells known as “satellite cells”. The activated precursor cells will then be integrated into existing muscle fibers to make them larger (this is known as hypertrophy). Lower dosages are often recommended over a short period of time in order to avoid fluctuating levels of hormones in the body (and the mood swings that are linked to it. The dosages include;

  • Delayed puberty:  The dosage for this condition is about 5mg to 200mg every four to six weeks.
  • Transgender hormone therapy: The dosage for this condition is about 50mg to 200mg every week or 100mg to 200mg every two weeks.
